March 22nd
I hate having my photo taken, unless I'm drunk :) But this is something I'm
determined to get over. I don't actually mind the taking picture part, looking
down the lens and that, it's after when you look at them that I don't like.
Even if your in the middle of a crowed
of friends you eye will immediately go to yourself and squirm . But I don't
want to be invisible in this project so I'll continue with these for the days I
get stuck :)
March 21st
Tonight I went to see Nederlands Dans Theater. I refrained all day from
taking a photo in the hope I might sneak one tonight. The opera house are particularly
strict so I scanned the area and decided to befriend the little lady taking
tickets. Little ladies love me :) I first made contact when I gave her £3 in
exchange for a programme. She was lovely just as I'd hoped and seemed to
warm to me when she realised I had the correct change for her. People who are selling
things like that. I decided then to ask her if it was possible to speak to
someone who could give me permission to take a photo during the show. She
suggested the manager but said that there was no chance she would agree to it.
That was intermission 1. At the second interval as I walked out she remembered
me and asked if I resisted the urge to take a photo, I decided them to be
honest. I told her about my 365 project and how and how this would be a great
photo for today and she agreed, result! As everyone was back in their seats for
the last part of the show, she said to me with a wink," I'm going to shut
the door'" at last we were on the same page. I snapped this quick shot of
the beginning of the best dance piece I have ever seen and watched the rest
content from my seat :)
March 20th
A late night walk around Carnfunnok in search of a photo. Nothing. On the way
back to the car I noticed this nice tree behind a little house. I immediately
lay on the ground and started snapping :) I love the colours my camera picks up
in long exposures it always surprises me, every time. I spent the next half
hour on the ground taking photos looking into the sky :)
March 19th
I love wee Bella :)
March 18th
After a mad, tiring two days before we
decided that Sunday was for relaxing. We lazed about all morning and in the
afternoon when for a walk around the K Club. Yellow and purple as far and the
eye can see. First sign of spring. And a happy mother's day to my wee mum :)
March 17th
Dublin for St. Paddy's day. My little cousin was in a parade so we went down
to cheer her on from the sidelines, complete with a sleeve of shamrock tattoos which
Erin kindly decorated my arm with while I tried to eat breakfast with one hand.
Before we left for the Parade we took her new puppy for a walk. This is Bow
Tiger Lilly :)
March 16th
St Georges Market, up bright and early 6:30am to be exact, which turned out to
be way to early because they hadn't even set up yet. So off we went in search
of a brew. I for one can't function before a good cup of tea, the first cup
with breakfast powered me enough to make it to Belfast and this one would see
me through the rest of the morning, well that was the hope, I make the best cup
of tea and this one did not live up to my high standards...it was yuk in a cup.
So back to the market we went, it was great apart from the section at the back
which can only be described as a sea food graveyard :( Poor dead fish &
suffocating crabs foaming at the mouth did not sit well with me, I preferred
the other end with cupcakes, flowers and vintage treasures :) Oh and these
olives. Finished the day off in a little pup in Dublin celebrating with a bunch
of Cheltenham Cup winners and a big gold horse trophy that I couldn't lift :)
March 15th
- Bed is calling me...early start tomorrow. Visiting St Georges Market and our
aim is to be there for 6:15. The only time I am ever out of the house at that
time is to catch a flight to an exotic foreign land, but not this time. Belfast is as
far as I'll get :)
March 14th
- I'm helping Peter with a personal project of his at the minute 'Working in
Belfast' Today we went to a local Timber mill, never seen so much wood in my
life. So yesterday I saw the tress in their natural habitat and today I see
what happens when they get chopped down and taken away...I prefer yesterday's
trees.
March 13th
- Rare day off today so I headed up to Balleyboley forest near the reservoir,
just for a wee walk and to get some fresh air. Peaceful and quiet, it was nice
to get away and be in the wilderness even just for a few hours.
March 12th
- Look who was waiting for me in the garden when I got home tonight :) I heard
her before I seen her. First she lets out this high pitched little cry of
uncertainty when she suspects someone is coming, , then she realises it's me
and starts stamping her two fronts paws and doing twirls of excitement :) she
poked her little nose through for a sniff and then ran to the door, best
welcome home ever :)
